By downloading, installing, or using WA Chat Backup & Exporter ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

WA Chat Backup & Exporter is a browser extension that allows users to export and back up WhatsApp Web chat conversations. The Service provides functionality to export messages and media in various formats including CSV, Excel (XLSX), JSON, and HTML.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Violate any international, federal, provincial, or local laws or regulations

• Harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, or discriminate against others

You must comply with WhatsApp's Terms of Service and all applicable laws when using our Service. This extension is intended for legitimate personal backup, business record keeping, research, and data portability purposes only. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with WhatsApp's policies and all applicable privacy and data protection regulations.

Data and Privacy

Regarding data handling and privacy:

• The Service processes chat data entirely locally in your browser
• We do not store or transmit your WhatsApp messages to our servers
• Exported files are saved directly to your computer
• You are responsible for how you use and store the exported data
• Respect the privacy rights of individuals whose messages you export
• Ensure you have appropriate consent before exporting shared conversations

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of echobot.dev and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written consent.

Subscription and Payment

For Pro subscriptions:

• Subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis
• Payments are processed securely through third-party providers (Paddle and PayPal)
• You can cancel your subscription at any time
• No refunds will be issued for partial subscription periods
• We may change subscription fees with 30 days notice

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or illegal activities. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, echobot.dev shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

Indemnification
